Worn passages

Filmed in Qui Si Sana, this work embraces the location as a place where one is healed. The passages, a series of steps hand cut from rock are smoothed by the onslaught of sea and rain over the passage of wind and time; people coming and going. They take on a ritualistic measure where one traverses these steps to get to the sea. The sea’s language is understood by all and thus encompasses within its whole, the sum of all diversities.

Every personal journey needs however go through a cathartic process where strong, suppressed emotions can be released before healing on an emotional level can take place. This is captured by sea water bursting within the containment and security of the baths. Space too is taken into consideration as one needs to create distance (served by time) so as to gather insight over challenges being faced.
